Curriculum vitae

Dr. Giovanna Delogu, holds a degree in Pharmacy at the University of Cagliari in July of 1992 discussing an experimental thesis entitled “Sintesi e proprietà di una nuova classe di podandi”.
In November 1992, she won a scholarship “Ph.D. in Chimica del Farmaco” Cyclo-VIII at the Drug Chemical Technologic Department of the Pharmacy Faculty of the University of Cagliari.
In October 1996 she received the title of Doctor of research in Chemistry of Drug in the area of organic chemistry, presenting a written work entitled: “Derivati benzonaftiridinici: sintesi e studio della loro attività biologica”. Since February 1996 is Researchers at the Drug Chemical Technologic Department of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Cagliari for Scientific Field disciplinary CHIM/06-Organic Chemistry and still holds that role.

Lines of research

  1. Progettazione e sintesi di nuovi derivati ibridi cumarina-resveratrolo combinando le proprietà attribuite ad entrambi i frammenti strutturali.
  2. Sintesi, identificazione e caratterizzazione strutturale di prodotti secondari potenzialmente attivi nella sintesi di 2-arilbenzofurani mediante GC/MS e spettrometria di massa Tandem.
  3. Progettazione e sintesi di 2-fenilbenzofurani (che incorporano nella loro struttura il nucleo del resveratrolo) e studio della loro attività inibitoria nei confronti della tirosinasi.
  4. Progettazione e sintesi di 3-fenilcumarine e 4-idrossi-3-fenilcumarine e studio della loro attività inibitoria nei confronti delle monoaminossidasi.
  5. Caratterizzazione strutturale dei composti sintetizzati e studio dell’attività in diversi campi farmacologici.
