Curriculum vitae

I reached my M.Sc. Marine Bio-Ecology (First Class Honours) in 2016 with an experimental thesis “Interaction between environmental factors and space-time distribution: modelling applied to the Mediterranean Aristeids” at the University of Cagliari under the supervision of the Dott. Andrea Sabatini.

In 2017 I received the Award for the best thesis of the Faculty of Biology and Pharmacy and the Merit Scholarship for the Master’s Degree in Marine Bio-ecology. In the same year I won the National Award for the Marine Biology degree entitled “Premio Majorca” in the occasion of the EUDI Show 2017 – Bologna (Italy).

After my graduation I held an Extracurricular Internship about the study of freshwater ecosystems, for the management of salmonid areas with native Sardinian trout (Salmo cettii) and restocking actions planning.

Since 2017 until September 2019 I had a Scholarship about the investigation of Anguilla anguilla glass eel recruitment and eel populations composition in some Sardinian hydrographic basins, according to the Sardinian Eel Management Plan for the recovery of the European eel stock (Reg. CE 1100/2007).

In 2019 I have been an international experience at the Institut de recherche pour la conservation des zones humides méditerranéennes – Tour du Valat, at the Association MRM (Migrateurs Rhône Méditerranée) in Arles and at the University of Perpignan (France) for the study of eel migration, connectivity between continental waters and the sea, the main techniques for the eel otoliths analysis and the parasitological analysis of Anguillicola crassus under the supervision of Dr. Delphine Nicolas and Dr. Elsa Amilhat.

I am currently a PhD student in the PhD Program in Life, Environmental and Drug Sciences, under the supervision of Prof. Antonio Pusceddu with the research focused on the study of some ecological and biological aspects of the European eel (Anguilla anguilla).
